What the world needs is another browser…
Browser chrome is a term used to describe the borders of a web browsers window, menu, toolbar and scrollbar but it will now become more familiar as the name for Google’s new product, Google Chrome, an open-source browser based on the WebKit rendering engine and Google Gears.
Radiohead – House of Clouds
Radiohead’s latest video for the track ‘House of Cards’ has been released through Google Code. Shot without cameras it uses two 3D capture technologies, one that captures images at close proximity and one that can capture large environments such as landscapes. The cloud point data used for the video can be downloaded for anyone interested in putting together their own video of the track. Click here for the ‘making of’ video.

- BBC’s IPlayer 2 goes beta. There’s been some major improvements to the interface but I guess the big news is that radio and tv are now in one place plus there’s improved functionality that allows for quick resume playing and personalisation

- Tower running – crazy new sport where you race up a towerblocks stairwell. More over at Stair Climbing Sport.
- Ajax Libraries API – Google are now hosting some of the more popular javascript libraries including jQuery, Prototype and script.aculo.us. More information for the Google Monster but it promises faster performance and if enough developers use it there could be some cross site caching benefits as well.
- Font burner – Online tool that lets you use non-standard fonts on your website, it’s essentially a sIFR library using non-commercial fonts. Nice idea!
