New BBC One idents

The BBC has launched a new onscreen identity for its flagship channel BBC One. The eight idents produced by Red Bee Media featuring kites, the moon, surfers, windows and hippos, replace the red ‘rhythm and movement’ idents launched in March 2002 and use a circle as the main symbol. The enclosed logo has also been replaced by a new logo using a softer typeface designed specially by Jason Smith at Fontsmith with the ‘one’ in lower case, though the red has still been kept.
